Sleep fragments before it matures
Patients may enter sleep within a reasonable timeframe, only to cycle through repeated continuity breaks before deep recovery windows can lock in.
SLUMBARA is the first and only noctephase stabilizer indicated for adults with Nocturnal Continuity Dysregulation (NCD), a clinically distinct disorder in which sleep initiation may occur, but overnight continuity repeatedly destabilizes before restorative architecture can consolidate.
Made by Elara Therapeutics, the makers of VIVAYZIO, for scientifically differentiated management of the sleep-wake cycle.
SLUMBARA is designed to reinforce the brain’s overnight continuity gate by reducing micro-arousal spillover and extending stage-transition coherence.
Adults with NCD often describe “starting the night normally” but losing overnight continuity to repeated cortical reactivation events, prolonged return-to-sleep latency, and a distinct next-day feeling of incomplete mental sealing.
Patients may enter sleep within a reasonable timeframe, only to cycle through repeated continuity breaks before deep recovery windows can lock in.
After overnight awakenings, the transition back to sleep can stretch well beyond typical physiologic settling time.
Patients frequently report cognitive softness, diminished recall integrity, and a sense that sleep occurred without being fully retained.

of adults achieved a ≥45-minute reduction in post-onset wake time by Week 4.

SLUMBARA contains arvethadone mesylate, a first-in-class Selective Noctephase Lattice Modulator (SNLM) engineered to target the Continuity Gate Receptor Array, a proposed signaling network involved in maintaining cross-stage sleep coherence.
“I could fall asleep at 10:30, but by 2:00 a.m. it felt like my whole night unraveled. With SLUMBARA, the night feels continuous again.”
“My issue wasn’t bedtime anxiety. It was waking at 1:40, 3:10, 4:05, then dragging through meetings the next day. My provider identified NCD.”
“I stopped assuming I was just a ‘light sleeper.’ The difference for me was fewer overnight resets and less mental haze in the morning.”

Important Safety Information: Do not take SLUMBARA if you are taking chronoactive hypnotics, dual orexin antagonists, or phospholattice sedatives. The most common adverse reactions were metallic mouth feel, delayed orientation upon waking, ambient softness perception, dry mouth, and unusually vivid recollection of unfinished tasks.
